Laundry

There is a purpose-built laundry which is staffed 7 days per week throughout the year for the comfort and convenience of our residents.

Hairdressing

A hairdresser visits every week and offers a full range of hairdressing services to all residents who wish to purchase these services. There is a specifically designed hairdressing suite on the 1^st floor of the home for this purpose.

Foot Health

Our fully qualified foot health practitioner visits at least every six weeks. Residents are referred to the foot health practitioner by care staff and managers according to individual need. This is a private service, paid for separately.

Medical Matters

When you are accepted to Glyn Nest from you will be registered with the local doctor’s surgery. Our links with the local surgery, district nurses and pharmacy are excellent.

Optician

Regular visits are carried out by qualified opticians.

Worship

Christian services are held regularly and we have many local chapels who visit. Communion is offered monthly. Special services are also held on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.

Trolley Service

This takes place once a month and is run by the house committee and gives residents the chance to purchase small items of confectionery.

Parking

Ample parking is available at the rear of the home.

Sensory Garden

Behind the Home is situated a Sensory Garden for the residents to sit out in the sun. There are two sheltered benches, pretty flowers and shrubs, a small fountain and a post box. A number of benches are to be found around the grounds as well.
